Happy 30th birthday!
On June 25, 2022, at Mountain Daylight Saving Time 12:00 a.m., a group of friends who were immersed in the Mahjong world suddenly turned their heads to me and wish me a happy birthday, and asked “What’s your birthday wish?”. I said “Thank you guys!” first, and then seriously thought about it for a while, I was stunned that nothing and nobody appeared in my mind, in the meantime, I was also a bit stunned by myself that couldn’t think of any wish. Perhaps, I drank too much or was too exhausted after a long trip.
I am 30 this year and have no wish.
When I woke up in the morning, the outdoor temperature was about zero. I glanced at the sunlight outside the window, I knew that it was not the alarm clock that woke me up today (my alarm clock is always used to wake up my roommates), but the things I want to do for a new day.
I’m glad that I couldn’t answer the question last night. On the one hand, I am satisfied with life, which includes all the past and decisions, I like myself also. On the other hand, I no longer rely on just wishes. Instead, I’ve already used to planning and achieving “those wishes” step by step and on my own.
